Are the images included in your fees?

YES! I never create a session or package that doesn’t include the images themselves. I don’t believe in nickel and diming clients with “sitting fees,” “digital image fees,” and “printing fees.” Every session includes my time to take the photos, retouch them, and give them to you to print and share (see more on this below). Each session guarantees an approximate number of final images you will receive. You can choose a CD mailed to you or a one-time online download.

Am I allowed to print or share the photos I receive?

Absolutely! Share away! Print as much as you wish! Keep in mind that any preview images posted on my Facebook page will be low quality and should not be used for printing. Please wait to print until you receive the final photos from me directly.

How quickly will I receive my final images?

You photos will be sent within 4 weeks of the session day. If you need final photos rushed for any reason, please contact me and I will do my best to accommodate.

Can I choose which final images I’ll receive?

If there are specific requests you make or ideas you have for a session and we are able to do them, I will do my best to ensure those photos are part of the final package, but I cannot guarantee this. We take many, MANY shots so that I can look through them and pick the best ones to include in the final photos. Sometimes, the lighting is just not right in a shot or someone might have blinked or looked away so I cannot be sure until I’m editing which ones turned out best. If there is a shot that is really important to you, please let me know at the time of the session.

Can I pay extra to receive more photos if I didn’t get all the ones I wanted in the final images?

At this time, I am not able to accommodate these requests. My apologies. I will include all the images that came out well in the session (even if it is more than the guaranteed number for the session). If I don’t include more, it’s because those images just didn’t turn out well and I cannot in good conscience provide sub-quality images to my clients. Thank you for your understanding.

Can I bring props or samples of what I’d like to do in a session?

Props are certainly welcome and I will do my best to include them in the session. If you have ideas for specific shots, please email me as soon as possible before the session (at least 48 hours is best) with your ideas so I can prepare accordingly.

What should I wear?

Whatever you are comfortable in but skip busy patterns or t-shirts with logos/emblems of any kind. Family sessions can look really great if everyone wears the same shade (preferably not the same exact colors)… all blues, or all greens, for example. We can also find time for 1-2 wardrobe changes, if desired, so you can do some casual and some dressy.

I want to do a newborn session but my baby has already arrived — is this possible?

Unfortunately, the answer is likely ‘no.’

Newborn sessions need to be scheduled as soon as possible to ensure baby is still falling asleep and staying asleep easily. I cannot do a newborn session for a baby older than 10 days and can only do 1-2 session each week. For this reason, it is recommended to secure my time for you at least a month before your due date. I can then make sure not to book too many sessions in a given time period. For this reason, it is usually not possible for me to accommodate last-minute newborn sessions since other families will have already secured my time with them.

If you are still interested in scheduling a session so we can capture some memories, I would be happy to schedule something when baby is 3 months or older. At this point s/he will be pushing up onto hands, smiling, and will be generally more photogenic. I look forward to setting that up for you!
